On Good Friday, we remember Yeshua impaled to a cross hanging with outstretched arms covered in the blood of our sins. Every slash, bruise and shout of humiliation applied to represent every wrong decision WE have made. He was innocent, but chose to endure the most brutal suffering and death that the Romans could devise!
"About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”). Mathew 27:46.
As I worshipped and prayed on that scripture, I saw golden rain descend from the heavens drenched with the sound of our worship throughout time and place. Our voices singing with the angels and those from ancient of days throughout history to the present time and from all the four corners of the world!!! His torture replaced with showering love in response to the love He first gave us.
The Hebrew words 'Todah Adonai' - 'thank you Lord' adorn the base of the painting as my finishing brushstrokes and the only words I could say in response.
